Het is een feature dat Instagram in de winter van 2019 introduceerde. Volgens mij weten veel gebruikers niet eens dat het bestaat, laat staan dat ze het gebruiken!<br><br>Maar jij hoort zo meteen bij de weinigen die niet alleen weten wat Instagram Alt Text is \u2013 jij weet zo meteen ook&nbsp;<em>hoe&nbsp;<\/em>je het kan inzetten om meer bereik te genereren op Instagram \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Wat is Instagram alt-text nu eigenlijk?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Als je iets van SEO kent, dan heb je vast wel eens van \u201calt-text&#8221; gehoord. Eigenlijk is het heel simpel:<br><br>\u201calt\u201d = alternative<br>\u201ctext&#8221; = (rarara\u2026)<br><br>Het is overal op het internet, maar je kan het niet zien\u2026<br><br>Alt-text is wat je achter een afbeelding stopt zodat Google je afbeelding kan \u201clezen\u201d.<br><br>Google\u2019s algoritme kan namelijk geen afbeelding \u201czien\u201d, maar Google kan wel tekst en cijfers lezen.<br><br>Trouwens, door keywords in de alt-text van jouw afbeeldingen te verwerken, kan Google jouw webpagina ook in Afbeeldingen laten vertonen. Een extra kans om gevonden te worden!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Waarom zou je alt-text op Instagram gebruiken?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Het alt-text principe voor websites is net zo zeer van toepassing op Instagram: net zoals de andere zoekfeatures (locatie, hashtags, mentions\u2026) is het een extra manier waarop Instagram gebruikers jou kunnen vinden.<br><br>Je maakt het makkelijker voor het algoritme om te bepalen of jouw afbeelding relevant is voor bepaalde gebruikers. Zo vergroot je dus de kans om gezien te worden. En niet alleen op Instagram trouwens. In de toekomst mogelijk ook op Google.<br><br>Alt-text is ook handig wanneer:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>een afbeelding simpelweg niet geladen wordt, bijvoorbeeld omdat het internet te traag is.<\/li><li>een slechtziende of blinde persoon op jouw account terecht komt. De computerstem leest dan de alt text voor.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Het is dus enerzijds belangrijk keywords in de alt-text van afbeeldingen te verwerken, maar ook om goede beschrijvingen van de afbeeldingen te geven. Zo heeft iemand met slecht internet of een beperkt zicht toch nog de kans om te weten wat je hen eigenlijk wilde tonen. \u00c9n jij hebt de kans om te kiezen welke details je naar voor wil brengen.<br><br>Heb ik je overtuigd dat Instagram alt-text jouw energie waard is? Vaak kan je dus niet zomaar klik-klak jouw caption dubbel gebruiken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Denk liever zo&#8230;<br><br>Stel dat iemand jou op een zomers terrasje zou vragen wat er op een bepaalde foto te zien is. Hoe zou je dat dan uitleggen in twee zinnen? Geef enkel het belangrijkste mee, maar wees gedetailleerd en specifiek. Gebruik liefst ook een of meerdere keywords!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Als jouw caption een quote is, dan kan je natuurlijk overwegen die over te nemen. Als er nog plaats is, kan je de afbeelding verder nog beschrijven.<br><br>Instagram alt-text behandel je volgens de SEO principes: het is een manier om jouw content bij de relevante mensen te krijgen. En intussen help je er ook slechtzienden mee jouw content te ontdekken. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Je hoeft dit zeker niet op elke post toe te passen (dat doe ik ook niet), maar als je een bepaalde post extra wil in de kijker zetten, dan kan je deze truc zeker toepassen en kijken wat het geeft!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Wil je graag je vindbaarheid op Instagram verhogen op de lange termijn?
